From Polyphasic Sleep

It is highly recommended that anyone considering polyphasic sleep take time to thoroughly research before they begin polyphasic sleep.

It is also extremely helpful that you have the following:

  • A friend who's willing to brave the adaptation period with you
  • A big, fat list of things to do when you're in zombie mode, including lots of night-friendly and low brainpower activities
  • A concrete list of your motivation
  • Backup alarms, preferably more than three or four
